Silica Rich Pyrophyllite Clay improves germination rate, speeds early foliage development, improves the basic constitution of the plant resulting an a healthier stock, reduces fungal development, improves the plant's resistance to insects, bacteria & disease, improves nutrient delivery to the roots of the plant, and adds the vital component of amorphous silica to the soil. First year application rate is 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon per square foot (600-1800 lbs. per acre) applied the first year at any time (after harvest, during the winter, just before or after planting, at special times when heavy feeding is required for a plant, or when noticing disease, mildew, fungus, or other stresses on the plant).Total annual application may be broken down into 2 or three applications throughout the year or growing season. Second and subsequent year application rate is 1-200 lbs. per acre. Silica Rich breaks down gradually over the course of 3-5 years. Freshly formed topping soil from compost or manures will require a 1/2 to 1 teaspoon per square foot unless Silica Rich was added to the compost during its curing time. Adding Silica Rich and Liquid Gold to compost piles and manure piles (including pig lots, horse stalls, and cattle lots) reduces the anaerobic bacteria resulting in a significant reduction or complete elimination of the foul smell. |
